Empowering Students with the Freedom of Flexibility
Moving from traditional in-person schooling to online education has been a smooth transition for many students and their families. Rather than sitting in a physical classroom, students and their teachers log on at specific times to have class together during typical school hours.
However, some students and families may need more flexibility for a variety of reasons. That’s why Hoosier College and Career Academy (HCCA) has the Flex program, which allows students the freedom to adjust their education schedule around their unique needs.
What is the Flex program?
The Flex program provides students in grades 10-12 who are passing all courses with additional flexibility. Students are empowered to complete their coursework on their own schedule and at their own pace with the ability to attend live learning sessions or watch recorded classes on their own time.
Who is the Flex program for?
Any student can find success in the Flex program. Examples of students who commonly join the Flex program include:
- Students of families that travel often.
- Students with medical needs.
- Student athletes.
- Young parents.
How does the Flex program work?
The Flex program offers the assurance of certified teacher guidance and instruction to keep students on track. Students are assigned a dedicated teacher who connects with them every other week for feedback and support. The teacher also runs a weekly grade report and contacts students and their Learning Coaches if they are failing any courses.
Students have full online access to lessons, assignments, and other learning materials at all times, so learning can happen anywhere. They also have the option to attend live learning sessions as needed and can transition back to a more traditional online school model at any time.
Is the Flex program the right fit for your child?
If you’re looking for a more flexible online school program, the Flex program offered at HCCA provides a balance of independent learning and teacher support. Learn more about our Flex program and enrollment options today.
