Celebrating the Class of 2026 

Nearly 500 students graduated from Hoosier College and Career Academy (HCCA) this year, marking a powerful milestone as our graduates step into the next chapter of their lives. 

On June 13, we celebrated in person together for a ceremony at Butler University’s Clowes Hall, where more than 200 students received their diplomas in front of proud family members, friends, and teachers, who supported them throughout their educational journeys. This marked the first time many students met face-to-face with teachers and long-time friends after forming connections through screens from across the state. 

“We are proud to celebrate the commitment, resilience, and achievements of the Class of 2026,” Executive Director David Rarick said. “Our graduates have charted their own paths into the future and are stepping into the next phase of their lives with the skills and confidence to thrive.” 

Many of our graduates chose HCCA for its flexible learning options, choosing to pursue a high-quality education while balancing work, caregiving, parenting, chronic illnesses, or their passions. Although each student’s path to graduation is unique, our school’s commitment to academic excellence and career readiness ensures our graduates are prepared for the future with college credits, industry certifications, and/or hands-on training that will help pave the way for success. 

“We didn’t all come from the same place, but we are standing here at the same time, and that matters,” student speaker Havanna shared during her speech. “There’s no right way to get where we are today. Sometimes you need a different environment with space to breathe and learn your way instead of trying to fit in somewhere that doesn’t fit you.” 

HCCA’s supportive and accepting environment drives students to reach their full potential. Beyond our academic and school support services, students establish meaningful connections with peers, teachers, and staff members, who offer guidance and encouragement along the way.  

“We encouraged each other to keep going,” Havanna said. “Our teachers and counselors showed up for us, constantly finding ways to make us feel seen.”
