Celebrating a Year of Growth and Innovation in CTE/CRE
As we reflect on the 2024–2025 school year at Hoosier College and Career Academy (HCCA), we are proud of the incredible strides made within our Career and Technical Education (CTE)/College & Career Readiness (CRE) programs. This past year has been marked by student achievement, program expansion, and intentional planning for the future.
Student Successes:
- Our students shined in competitions, with 1st place in the K12 Photography Competition and top placements in Microsoft Office Specialist qualifiers for both semesters.
- Jackalynn represented us nationally as a Top 5 finalist in the National Cook-Off, and Karina earned a perfect score in PowerPoint, qualifying for the national championship in Texas.
- 98% of our seniors declared a 3E intention (Enroll, Enlist, Employ), surpassing our goal and showcasing the impact of our focused homeroom curriculum.
Program Growth:
- We successfully launched new pathways in Business Administration and Criminal Justice, both offering dual credit opportunities.
- Dual credit participation soared, with 48 students earning 216 college credits through Ivy Tech.
- We doubled our Job Ready Certifications from the previous year! We are excited to continue to bring opportunities like the Indiana Jail Officer Certification, Adobe Certifications and more to our students!.
Looking Ahead:
- We’re preparing to launch a new Social & Community Services Pathway and expand our dual credit offerings to 22+ courses, including core content.
- As we are preparing for the GPS Diploma with our graduating class of 2029, we are expanding our options for work based simulations and middle school exploratory programs to support early career exploration.
- A new course catalog is in the works to better inform families and staff about our offerings and opportunities.
These accomplishments are a testament to the dedication of our staff, the resilience of our students, and the strength of our partnerships. We’re excited to build on this momentum as we head into the 2025–2026 school year! Learn about enrolling with us today!
