Celebrating the HCCA Class of 2025: A Graduation to Remember

Nearly 300 students from across Indiana walked the stage at Butler University’s Clowes Memorial Hall on June 15, marking a proud and emotional moment—the graduation of Hoosier College and Career Academy’s (HCCA) Class of 2025.
For many students who spent their high school years learning online, this was one last chance to gather in person, meet teachers and classmates face-to-face, and celebrate a journey defined by perseverance, growth, and achievement.
HCCA, a full-time online public school serving Indiana students in grades 7–12, equips its students with the tools and support to thrive, both academically and professionally. The Class of 2025 exemplifies what’s possible when personalized education meets real-world opportunity. These graduates have earned college credits, completed career and technical education (CTE) programs, achieved industry certifications, and engaged in hands-on learning that goes far beyond the virtual classroom.
“This graduating class is ready for what’s next, whether that’s college, certification programs, or entering Indiana’s workforce,” said David Rarick, Head of School at HCCA. “They’ve shown incredible resilience, focus, and purpose—and we couldn’t be prouder.”
HCCA’s commitment to academic excellence and career readiness is more than a mission statement—it’s a lived experience. From dual-credit opportunities to project-based learning and NCAA-approved courses for student-athletes, HCCA is preparing Indiana’s students for the world ahead.
“I started at HCCA in 11th grade because of some personal challenges, and I didn’t want to drop out of school. The one-on-one attention from my teachers made it easier for me to stay on track, complete my work, and graduate. I’m taking a year off, but I plan to go to college,” said graduate Hope Worley, reflecting on her HCCA journey.
This year’s graduation ceremony featured an inspiring keynote speech by Anya Janeway, Board Vice President of HCCA and current Chief Accounting Officer at Proteus, LLC in Indianapolis. With over a decade of leadership in financial technology and a longstanding commitment to our community, Janeway is passionate about empowering students to achieve their full potential.
Highlights from her address include:
“Optimism isn’t pretending everything is perfect – it’s the deliberate choice to believe things can be better and taking action towards making them better.”
Drawing on her own journey—from managing complex financial operations to guiding educational nonprofits—Janeway emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge with those around you and urged graduates to maintain a positive mindset. Her words resonated deeply with students, families, and faculty alike, reinforcing the idea that each graduate is well-prepared for the next chapter.
As online education continues to grow in demand across Indiana, schools like HCCA are proving that innovation and support can go hand-in-hand. The Class of 2025 has shown that flexibility in education doesn’t mean compromising on achievement—it means redefining it.
To the Class of 2025: your future is bright, and your HCCA family is cheering you on every step of the way. Congratulations!
