HCCA Earns Cognia Accreditation

Hoosier College and Career Academy (HCCA) was recently awarded the Cognia Accreditation for the first time, exhibiting continued growth toward reaching a higher standard of public education.

What is Cognia?

Cognia is a global nonprofit that provides quality assurance for PreK-12 and postsecondary schools. The Cognia Accreditation is given to public, private, and charter schools that have showcased the ability to meet the needs of every learner through learning conditions, policy, and cultural context.

Why did HCCA receive this accreditation?

Through self-evaluation and assessments from the Cognia Global Commission, the organization determined that HCCA excels in supporting learning, growth, and improvement for all students. This can be attributed to HCCA’s excellent teachers and staff, who work tirelessly to connect with students and offer each a personalized learning experience.

HCCA Executive Director David Rarick notes that “the school’s commitment to flexible learning makes education more accessible.” Students statewide can enroll in HCCA tuition-free, join classes from anywhere, and become part of the Flex Program—provided they demonstrate academic success and stay on track in their courses. The Flex Program promotes flexibility, but it is designed for students who are mature enough to manage their learning independently and succeed in a self-directed environment.

How will this impact my child’s education?

Your student at HCCA will continue to receive an excellent education. HCCA will uphold Cognia’s values of offering diverse educational models for all types of learners, providing a comfortable environment in which all students can succeed.

We’re honored to receive the Cognia Accreditation, which is a testament to our dedication to raise the bar for fully online public education. Join HCCA and see how online learning can empower your child’s future!
